Hybrids : mixed human/animals?

Video Spanish: Planeta de los simios.

Researchers of the University of Newcastle and the Kings College of London have requested to the english Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, a license of 3 years to implant cell human nuclei, in eggs of cows with the purpose to generate stem cells, (would not be allowed to develop for more than a few days), with end of investigation (Stephen Minger, Lyle Armstromg, Robin Lovell-Badge). The investigators said -that in this case- the hybrid embryos (chimeras), will be: 99, 9% human. Certainly the news has disturbed the poultry coop by the usual appreciation that assumes that this type of experiments will establish blurry limits (Callum MacKellar), between animals and humans. What invites us to reflect biologically to this respect. The successful experiments of cloning of the sheep Dolly, have established that the human mold is carried in the nucleus and when this is transplanted, causes dominates the model in the egg that lodges it. Which is then, the function of the anucleated host egg?. For us, simply to provide initial energy to the in evolution nucleus, to deveplomental embryonic cells, etc.

The few genes contained in the mitocondrial DNA (DNAm) and some attributed illnesses, they would not have greater repercussion in this type of experiments being to dispense with them, without greater affectation. According to Lynn Margulis, the DNAm was contained in an ancient cell engulfed by another of greater quality (with own nucleus), the one that in the course of the evolution took the total cell command. Therefore there is not absolutely : humans/animal danger to generate. The emergency of these will have to see -if arrives the case- with mutations or nuclear artificial genetic exchanges. Time there will be (we expect, quick), in which the energy of the eggs can be doubled or quintuplicated by means of generation of artificial eggs. In that case, instead of having newborns with 9 months in human uteruses, we will have other with alone 2 or 3 months of intrauterine incubation, to the most greatest. By then, the possibilities to generate supermen, will be open.
Hibridos :Humanos/animales?
