HYPERION POWER NUCLEAR MODULE

The American company Hyperion, has just built a nuclear power prototype (Hyperion Power Module), valued at $ 25 million, offered to anyone wishing to acquire it. The module is capable of providing electricity to 20 000 homes, featuring an output of 25 MW. Hyperion use low-enriched uranium 238, running 5 years without recharging. El modulo esta en capacidad de dotar de energía eléctrica a 20 000 hogares, disponiendo de una potencia de 25 MW. Emplea Uranio 238 poco enriquecido, funcionando 5 años sin recarga. El previsible robo de su estructura por terroristas seria frustro ya que la remocion de sus partes induciri a su enfriamiento al entrar en contacto con el aire.
