GIRL, MCP CERTIFIED

1) Several world newspapers inform that M. Lavinashree an Hindu girl, was certified at 8 years-1 day, by Bill Gates as an expert in Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), an event that required from us admiration, spread and reflection. MCP accreditation is a certificate of professional competence (usually given to older than 20 years), with skills, knowledge and experience in application development, database management and network infrastructure needed for business solutions, implementation of a product or technology from Microsoft, which means being skilled at Corel Draw, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dream Weaver, Web Designing, Word, Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher and so on. 2) According to her biography: a) she learn at 1 ½ years, the English alphabet using plastic toys. His mother taught her the English alphabet one by one letter. She continued to learn the symbols of India, songs, flags of countries, names of leaders, capital, fruits, vegetables, forms, etc. b) At 2 ½ years, she memorized and recited 1330 verses from the holy book of Tamils. In summary, in order to pass the MCP, she used mostly her memory. We can not request her more, because 8 years old children are unable to develop abstract thoughts and less emotions linked to learning, to the fullest. Children are only able to develop concret thinking and copy or mimics what their instructors teach them. Acceptance without imposition of what to learn, coupled with continuous accumulation of knowledge can generate however a quantum leap. Mozart composed own music (concertos), at 5 years, after countless memorize partitures. It is hoped that this girl who is preparing to pass the MCP Engineer and others, become an expert in computer if she upgrade in math and related. Memorization without emotion, can not be the ultimate goal of a national educational system.
3) Consistent with the previous is our proposal to abolish age limits in our educational system, promoting more flexible curricula. We understood that achievements of the early Mozart and this girl has to do with the existence of highest peaks of synaptic density (at 2 and 15 years old). Before and after this age there are synaptic pruning, eliminating what is not used (How the brain learns/Sarah-Jayne Blakemore/Uta Frith). To lower neuronal density, the less chance of developing complex tasks. 4) As the learning has to do with brain development and psychological, family environment, economy and education system -educationally speaking- it is not good to be more Catholic than the Pope, because this could attitude could be castrating and anti-educative. She always had the support of parents and her older sister.
